1903 Wanganui River Trust Map

The A1 size map (594mm x 841mm), printed on a synthetic stock,  is rolled into a cardboard tube with plastic end caps

The Wanganui River compiled for the Wanganui River Trust by John T Stewart, 1903 – the first chairman of the Wanganui River Trust 1891-1898.

Map includes tables of information and illustrations, for example three sketches of river steamers and examples of Maori carvings.

The map shows the Whanganui River catchment including main trunk line and covers 239 rapids from Mount Tongariro to the ocean at Whanganui .
